Bavarian Restoration does not offer a money back refund.  If you are unhappy with your purchase or your item was damaged during shipping, we may implement an exchange or replacement only. 

Customer Returns Instructions:

Please include the following information inside your return package:
(Use either printed form or clearly legible handwritten note)

  1. Full name
  2. Contact email and/or phone number
  3. Reason for return
  4. Paypal address (to issue refund or payment)

Failure to follow these directions may result in your part becoming lost.  Bavarian Restoration is not responsible for parts lost due to failing to follow these instructions.

Our Packing Suggestions

For AFM's:
  • AFM's are almost 5 lbs in weight so we suggest you do not pack them in the same box with other fragile items such as instrument clusters, electronics, and particularly SI boards.
  • To eliminate debris from entering the AFM during shipment, please wrap AFM in paper or place into a bag.  Otherwise, do not use packing peanuts or shredded paper because they can enter the AFM body and cause it mechanical failure.
  • Be sure that the AFM is packed into a box tightly so that there is no room for it to move around.  Loosely packed AFM's can bust through the shipping box and it can become damaged or lost.
  • Please use sturdy box and not flexible carrier such as large envelopes.


For Instrument Clusters:
  • The mounting tabs and clear cover are extremely fragile.  Take care to bulk up the face of the cluster with packing material as to protect the cover and mounting tabs.
  • We also suggest wrapping the entire cluster in heavy paper or bubble wrap to prevent intense shock and cracking to edges of cluster and cover.
  • ESD (electro-static discharge) is not a concern when shipping instrument clusters.
  • Please use sturdy box and not flexible carrier such as large envelopes.


For SI boards:
  • The SI board is inherently robust and safe from most ESD (electro-static discharge,) more care should be given to prevent physical damage.
  • Pack your SI board with packaging material all the way around it.  Pack extra at ends and connector housing to prevent damage.
  • SI boards should always be shipped inside of a sturdy box and not flimsy envelope, even if padded.

Core Refund Information

To be eligible for a core refund, please be sure your product meets the following guidelines. 
Failure to abide by these guidelines will result in a zero to reduced refund credit:


For AFM's
  • Core returned must be same part number or compatible part number.
  • Be sure the AFM plastic lid is intact and without any cracks, breaks, or heavy prying damage.
  • Check to make sure the AFM internal door moves completely and without binding or getting stuck.


For Instrument Clusters:
  • If sending a cluster with broken mounting tabs or cracked or heavily damaged cover, please be sure that Bavarian Restoration staff has been informed via private message or email.
  • Clusters with cracked covers and/or broken mounting tabs will be subject to reduced core refund credit.


For SI Boards:
  • SI boards with lithium batteries are a non concern for us.  If your SI board has short lithium batteries, please go ahead and send it to receive full credit.
  • SI boards with the longer AA style NiCd batteries should be looked at prior to shipment.  Any SI boards with leaky battery corrosion are subject to reduced core credit. You may email us pics, top and bottom, of the board for more accurate core refund quote.
